The clear roads ceased to exist as the traffic ensued and Freedom tower appeared on the horizon; we had finally arrived at our penultimate stop of New York City. Clubbers were quick to engage in picture taking of the majestic New York skyline as it came into focus. With so much to offer the city soon overwhelmed the club with endless opportunities. Upon arrival to the hotel, many were quick to leave to begin their journey in the city. Frisbee games started in central park while others were quick to rush to times square to get tickets for STOMP! which was to be performed later that day.
The next day many of the clubbers went to sites such as the 9/11 memorial and the Met. A half a day of sightseeing was followed by preparation for the prestigious concert at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. For many this was going to be a highlight of tour and a memory for a lifetime. At the concert we were joined by the world-renowned George Shirley, Professor Emeritus of Voice at the University of Michigan and The Riddlers from Avon Old Farms, Bryan Zaros conductor. New York was an amazing experience for all involved and a great final full concert for the Glee Club.
